How to Undelete Video on iPad

"I deleted my video by mistake from my iPad. Unfortunately, I don't have a backup. My friend advised me to mount the iPad as a drive using explorer in Windows and Mountain Lion. I tried, but I failed. Is there any other way to restore my file?"
